The area of Lugana confirms itself as a mature and important reality for the wines of the region. In the selection of the best wines of Lombardy 2021, our area is positioned as an established entity and the Lugana Riserva DOP 2018 di Cà Maiol obtains the recognition of the Three Glasses from Gambero Rosso. This is the eleventh time that one of our wines receives this award that positions us as an example of excellence of the Lugana denomination; an important certificate of value for our daily work based on an honest passion for the world of wine and for the southern Garda coast.

The award to our Lugana is part of a wider framework of recognitions achieved by our group. Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo has in fact been awarded the Winery of the Year 2021 prize, a prize awarded by the important wine and food publisher Gambero Rosso. The Winery of the Year award is a recognition for the extraordinary work carried out by the group as a whole, an oenological mosaic composed of Santa Margherita, Torresella, Kettmeir, Lamole di Lamole, Ca' del Bosco, Cà Maiol, Tenuta Sassoregale, Vistarenni, Terrelíade and Cantina Mesa.

This award celebrates the collective effort and the importance of offering a diversified and deep product portfolio, as well as the commitment of the Marzotto family which, in bringing together different realities under its umbrella, has allowed situations that would not have had the strength to present themselves to the world individually to be appreciated by a wider public.

It is a success that not only rewards the products, but also the company's great effort towards innovation: ecological, with the objective of carbon neutrality, conversion to organic and the preservation of biodiversity both inside and around the vineyard, commercial, with the drive towards global markets and presence on all the continents as the driving force behind Italian wine in the world, and digital, through communication strategies aimed at conquering new winelovers while maintaining a dialogue with them and fully embracing content creation strategies for web.

For Cà Maiol and Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo, award ceremonies are never an end in themselves. The awards make us proud, but the idea is to be always ready for the challenges of tomorrow, continuing to be the bridge between tradition and innovation that we represent now.
